Who we are

This website (pentalor.com) is operated by Pentalor. Pentalor Limited, Office 20210, 182-184 High Street North, East Ham, London, E6 2JA, United Kingdom (Company No. 17349116). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

What data we collect

  • Order data: name, shipping address, email address, phone number (optional), items ordered, and payment status. Payment itself is processed by Stripe and PayPal — we never see or store your card details.
  • Contact data: anything you send us via the contact form or by email.
  • Review data: if you submit a product review, the display name you choose, your email address, and the text of your review. The display name and review text are published once we have checked the review; the email address is not published and is used only to confirm the review is genuine.
  • Technical data: cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy. Preferences, statistics and marketing cookies are only used with your consent.

Why we process your data

  • To fulfil and deliver your order (contract performance);
  • To provide customer support and process returns (contract performance / legitimate interest);
  • To send order and shipping notifications (contract performance);
  • To publish a product review if you choose to send us one (consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR);
  • To measure and improve our advertising, only with your consent (consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Who we share data with

  • Stripe and PayPal — payment processing;
  • Shipping carriers and our tracking provider — delivery and order tracking;
  • Meta Platforms — advertising measurement, only if you consent to marketing cookies;
  • Our hosting provider (Hostinger) — website operation.

How long we keep data

Different categories of data are kept for different lengths of time, because different rules apply to each. These periods are not interchangeable — a shorter period for one category does not shorten another.

  • Order and transaction data — kept for 6 years from the end of the accounting period in which the order falls. As a UK company we are required to retain VAT and business records for this period (HMRC), and comparable tax-record obligations apply to the sales we make into the EU. Because this retention is a legal obligation under Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR, it is not shortened by a request for erasure.
  • Contact form messages and support email — kept for 12 months from the date we receive them, after which they are deleted automatically. If a message forms part of an order record — a return, a delivery claim or a dispute — that order record is kept under the 6-year period above.
  • Product reviews you submit — the display name and review text are kept for as long as the review remains published. The email address submitted with a review is used only to check that the review is genuine and is never published. Email support@pentalor.com and we will remove your review.
  • Cookie consent records — kept for as long as we need them to demonstrate that consent was given, and no longer than the lifetime of the consent itself.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time (via Cookie Settings in the footer). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

How to reach us

For any privacy request, email support@pentalor.com. We will respond to your request within one month of receipt. If your request is complex, or if you have made a number of requests, we may extend this period by up to two further months. We will inform you of any extension, and the reason for it, within one month of receiving your request.
